We left our little chipmunk out in the Sun a little too long. We feel horrible. We had a hat on his head and blanket around him but there was a little gap for the sun to get him.
My mom bought Tate "The Ultimate Space Collection DVD's" for his birthday. To help you know what these DVD's entail, I will have to take you back to 7th grade science class. Remember the movies your weird/comb over/suspender wearing teacher would put in for you to "watch." Half the class fell asleep, me included, the other half passed notes to each other to kill time. You know the videos that I am talking about, tons of scientist interviews, boring monalogues, and tons of facts.
Tate sits down to watch his first video. I proceed to watch 10 minutes then pass out on the couch. Feeling like I am back in 7th grade again. After the movie is over, Tate gets up and turns to me and states: "that was awesome, I love these movies." "Now I know that I am going to be a scientist and I am not changing my mind.
So, every year, on May 5th, XanGo has a "Cinco De Mustache" contest. Basically, who can "make" the best mustache. I only had a couple weeks to grow my stache, so it wasn't as thick as I'd wanted it. There's always next year.
On April 24th and 25th, we baptized Tate and blessed Gideon. It was really fun do both of these things on the same weekend. Thanks to all the family and friends who came out to support us.
It really amazes Megan and I that we have an 8-year old. What a milestone! (by the way, these white jump suits are so flattering. I think I'm going to buy one for lounging at the house - LOL).
