The Bottleneck

I have no idea why, but there is a special place in our house to which our kids are magically attracted. It's in the front room right in between the couch and the chair.

This place is also our busiest thoroughfare and creates the biggest bottleneck. I have to step over them every time. Oh, parenthood.

"Whose is this" tradition

I already talked about my dad's tradition of sorting through his basket trying to find the owner.

So, I thought it was funny that at our last family get together, Joe pulled out a box and started asking who owned it. I was so proud...

Reece is 5

Reece, our little caboose (and surprise), turned 5 today.

These are some of my favorite things about Reece.

Reece is adorable. Whenever, we go out of town, and are looking for help with the kids, all our siblings offer, "we'll take Reece!".



Months ago, Reece said he decided where he wanted to go for his birthday, "Charlie Block". It took quite some time before we figured out that meant "Trolley Square". He wanted to go to the Spagetthi Factory



Reece does funny things. This picture was taken seconds after putting a blanket over his head and immediately walks into door frame. He seemed really surprised by result.



Another funny thing. Reece is pointing his 'wand' at everyone and saying "avada kedavra". - Kind of harsh.



Reece loves turtles.





Reece's favorite color is green (I believe because of the turtle fedish).



Reece loves adventure (even though he's easily scared).



Reece frequently dresses up in girl's clothes. I think his 2 older sisters influence that a lot.



 

"Can I get your digits?"

This guy, while hanging out with his friends at Lagoon, got asked for his 'digits' by a girl. His response was totally a Tate response, "I don't have a phone number."

I think he understood what she really wanted (I never know).

They Started a Band

The kids, led by Harper (as usual), started a rock band on the first day of summer.

They colored their hair and play a few pretty grungy songs to me when I got home.
