The Perfect Couch

Our house is interesting. It's basically a large rambler; the entire house is laid out on a single floor. And on the way to the kids bedroom area is a room we call the flex space. It's like a walkway and a room combined. It's like the basement TV room. 

We always have family talks on Sunday and the whole family gathers in the flex room. For a while we had a grey couch there. It didn't fit very well, so we later replaced it with a black couch. 

The black couch fit but was too short. The family never fit and someone always ended up sitting on a containers of geotrax trains. (I'm sure that was really comfortable).

But then we bought a couch. Megan and I debated about it, but Megan really wanted it so we got it. And I admit, it is a good fit. The whole family fits on it. Megan is in love.

Tate is a bad driver

There has been a lot of arguing and denials about whether or not I'm good at driving but at this point, well, the driveway speaks for itself.

I got a fever and the only prescription is more Christmas trees

Three tress. We have three trees this Christmas!

I don't think that was the intention, but that's what happened. See, Megan is very particular about the way she want her Christmas tree to look. She wants a live tree every year; as that's what she had growing up. And she has certain decorations that she uses each year. It does always look beautiful. See a few example below.

Here's the year we tried really hard to light the tree on fire from the fireplace, but just couldn't get it to light. ;)

But inevitably, the kids would make some rando decoration and really wanted to hang it on the tree. This would never do. So, eventually, we got a fake tree to accompany the live one.

Well, this year, after we'd already set up the fake one, a neighbor gave us another one. So, we set it up too.

After Christmas, we agreed to get rid of the older fake tree, so I temporarily threw it in the garage until I had time to dispose of it. Funny enough, Megan later said, I think I actually like the tree in the garage. It makes it so festive. So, we're now a THREE CHRISTMAS TREE FAMILY!!!!

Although Megan may have regretted this when she was trying to clean up afterward.
