The best gift for a girl whose love language is gifts

Aunt Dusty hit the jackpot with this one.  For Christmas this year, she made Harper a hat and leg warmers with matching ones for her doll.  Harper didn't take the dang thing off for three straight days.

M-A-D-E

We are so lucky to have a Grandma/mother in law that enjoys sewing and makes cute things for the girls almost every Christmas.  But this year she completely outdid herself and not only made the girls coats but made the daughters in law coats as well.  They are so stinking cute and we LOVE them.

Here lies Cyclone...

We got a Beta fish from a white elephant gift exchange from our friends with the promise that this thing can't die.  We took it home and the kids immediately named it "Cyclone" (that's never a good thing). 

We followed the instructions. Cyclone is now dead. Kids are still morning the loss.

Another Christmas tradition??

I think Tommy may kill me but a new Christmas tradition was started this year with my family.  We did a little game at the Grand America and then had the buffet breakfast at Little America.  A tradition that not only includes food but breakfast food??? Are you kidding me? I'm all over it. 

Polar Express

Since Gideon is currently obsessed with Trains (following in the footsteps of his brother), we decided this year would be a great year to try out the Polar Express train in Midway.  The train was a really old train which made it very fun. We sang songs and had hot chocolate while riding along.  Not the best as I was juggling a baby and about 4 cups of hot cocoa.  The kids loved it though and they each got a souvenir bell to take home with them.

Stripey Pj's Round Two

^^These were my absolute favorite jammies of Tate's.  So it was super fun when Gideon was able to fit in them.  And luckily we haven't moved so the picture is taken in the exact same spot in our kitchen.

Our Yearly Nutcracker Tradition

I love this special tradition that I get to share with my girls.  This year we were even joined by our girl cousins on the Triplett side.  It made for a very special night.

New Christmas tradition

Megan just created a new awesome tradition; mommy light express.

Megan prepared hot coco and popcorn and then loaded the kids into the car one-by-one. Then we drove around to several different neighborhoods that had the lights timed to music (a radio station). Kids loved it.

Annual Griswald Family Christmas Tree

 No, we didn't go out to some remote forest to pick out our tree.  Just like the past two years we found ourselves in the comfort of our local Lowe's home improvement store.  But we did find a great tree anyway.
