Catching Up
It's crazy to see them wearing each other's clothes and shoes.

Mom Might be Planning the Adventures from here on out
Pretty sure my adventure loving husband thinks he is leading a band of twenty two year olds. Now, I'm all for adventures but I have my limits and a 14 mile back packing trip steps way way way outside those limits. I was super pumped when two of my top bucket list items were coming to fruition: coyote gulch and taking the kids back packing.
First day was amazing: three miles in, amazing camp site by the water, kids climbing and exploring up rocks and in water and snuggly kids in the tents that night.
Second day: possibly what hell could look like at mile 7. Tommy miss calculated the length of travel and what he thought was going to be about 5 to 6 miles was 11. ELEVEN. It was gnarly, but at the end of the day I am thoroughly amazed at what my kids are capable of doing. Aside from perfecting the fine art of bickering, they rocked this challenge. They hardly complained at all. They were there for each other with encouragement and piggy back rides when littlest Triplett got tired. They cheered and helped each other up a scary cliff wall. And even had hugs and love when their mom mentally hit a wall and starting crying and maybe swearing at their Daddy. DANG! they were amazing and I could not be more proud of my tiny humans.
And aside from taking us to what felt like the seventh circle of Hell, Tommy is truly amazing. He carried the brunt of our gear and at one point in time was carrying two additional bags. I don't think he's human. But I'm sure glad he's my human.
