And so it begins

Author: Megan

It all started with me cleaning out some old cardigans in my closet because maybe I have a slight addiction to cardigans and maybe Target was having a BOGO half price sale with 20% off on top off that and maybe I could not squeeze four more cardigans in the closet unless four of them said adios.  So there I was with the pile of...

1st day – Round 9

We did.  We faced, navigated, and conquered another first day.

This smarty pants started his first day as a big time 9th grader, since we decided to skip a grade last year.  And next year I’ll be sending this sweet little first born of mine off to high school.  Welp!

This little red headed, equal parts sass and kind, girl headed out to the big 5th grade.  And that second picture is what it looks like when your mom steps into your classroom to take your picture.  Oh preteen fairies please watch out for us!

And my sweet little Harper started the 3rd grade.  Still cool and fun for your mom to take a picture of you at your desk in 3rd grade.

This big time curly headed blondie, joined his two big sisters at the “big” school for Kindergarten.  Watching him in the morning before school started was a riot.  It was like Christmas morning.  “MOM, you got me crayons, my own crayons!  Thank you, Thank you mom!  And a pencil box, is this my very own pencil box?  Wow, Mom, Just wow!”  If there was a contest for cutest morning with a kindergartner ever, Gideon had it in the bag.  Although, he wasn’t as happy with me on day two when I woke him for school.  “Isn’t it the weekend yet MOM?,”  are not the best words to start day two of your five day school week.

Way okay for mom to take your picture when you are a big time kindergartner.  And seriously, that hair.

Bear Lake 2015

Bear Lake was so much fun this year.

Not only did we have Pacey and Tenley up with us, but Eiko & Ben came. Plus our neighbors, the Harrisons, came a visited.

Tate, as usual, burnt his back while building an epic sand castle. This year we named it “castle crack”.

Also, we finally made it up to Bloomington Lake. It was totally awesome. A great place to go on a hot day. The rope swing was super fun (Tate, Hudson and I all did it).

Lagoon Western Photos

 Triplett Family Western pictures

At our annual Lagoon day, we decided it was time to update our Western picture that we have hanging at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Every family has one on the wall. Many are severely out of date. Our has Tate and Hudson in it.

The only way we were able to get Gideon to behave was to give him a gun.

The Amazing Mother of My Children

Megan and Reece in a paddleboat at Bear Lake

My beautiful wife is the most amazing mother to our children. My wife doesn’t give our children the things they want (i.e. junk food, idleness, video games, entitlements, etc…), she gives them the things they need (responsibilities, experiences, her time, goals, ownership, etc…).

She may not believe me, but our children will look back at their childhoods with great fondness and gratitude to what their mother gave them.

Thanks Megan.
