Spoiled Milk: Reece don't care

Last Sunday morning, while the kids were getting up and ready for church, Gideon attempted to eat cold cereal for breakfast. He poured the milk from the last gallon we had. After his first bite, he realized the milk had gone sour. In fact, it was 12 days past it's due date.

'Yuck!' he said, pushed the bowl away, and walked out of the kitchen.

A couple minutes later, I walked back into the kitchen and saw Reece eating from the same bowl of cereal; as if nothing was a miss.

Another reason Reece is called mini-Tommy at the house; he apparently doesn't care much about food.

Puking: so close, yet so far away

Sorry for the graphic image.

The flu recently ran through the family.

It's been a 24-hour bug. Kid starts feeling crappy. Kid sleeps for a while. Kid starts puking. Kid feels better.

Unfortunately, some of kids are not good at timing their vomit. I think they either don't think they're going to throw up or they greatly overestimate their ability to get to the toilet.

We try to anticipate it. We put buckets by them, but for whatever reason they like the porcelain.

Poor Megan. She herself was sick the other day.  Mid morning she discovered this doosey in the boy's bathroom. I was at work, so Megan had to clean it up. Even the smell of vomit makes Megan sick so this was a monumental effort.  After asking all the kids if they were the culpirt and why they didn't let her know sooner, Hudson finally fessed up that it was her and she just forgot to tell someone.

Dang kids.

Work pants

Although, I usually change into workpants almost every night, I've never actually gone out and bought a pair of workpants. I get my workpants by designating a pair from my existing pants. These are usually a pair of pants that aren't getting worn any more and that got damaged already. In fact, if I wear a pair of pants that are 'good' pants, I get in trouble with Megan.

Once, my workpants were an old pair of "church" pants; a brown pin striped pair of khakis. A couple people called it out.

I seem to go through workpants pretty quicly. I think this is a combination of a) that I'm really hard on my clothes when I'm working and b) my work clothes are usually fairly worn out when they transition into "work" clothes.

Regardless, my pants seem to split a lot in the butt. Not sure what that means.
