We had such a fun Easter this year with the kids. Hudson is so animated and loves everything that is given to her. Tommy and I still struggle with the whole Easter bunny commercialization crap and the extravagent gifts that kids are given on Easter. Tate's first Easter Tommy said to me I don't care how much candy you give him but I am strongly against giving a gift at Easter. At first I didn't know how I felt about this idea, but now I couldn't agree more. With this ever disinegrating world that we live in I want to embrace every chance I can get to teach my kids about good and holy things. Two huge ones being the true meaning of Christmas and Easter. I know we are far from perfect but I like to think that keeping the focus on these two Holidays away from the gifts and bunnies etc is helping in some small way. Anyway (sorry for the long rant) here are some fun pictures from the holiday.

Here is a picture of the kids coloring their Easter eggs. Hudson thought this was the greatest thing ever! I made two dozen eggs (which I thought was way too many) but I think the kids could have even decorated more. Yes, Harper is crying her guts out in the background. Poor thing had croupe (sp?) and was miserable most of the weekend.
Here is Miss Hudson in her Easter dress before church. I wanted to get a picture of her and Harper together but the poor sick girl was sleeping.
And here is the kids after thier Easter egg hunt. I love how sweet and loving Tate is to his sister. I didn't tell him to hug her he just loves her that much!

One of my favorite traditions. Each year we do a family picture on easter. (Thanks Dusty!!)
Pictures are starting to go down hill :)
One of these kids is not like the others, one of these kids is sick and miserable, can you guess which kid wishes her mean mom, would just put her back to bed. Just put her back to bed.

And finally here is Harper begging me to stop the madness!

Last picture (I swear)! This is my favorite! We were on our way up to grandma's house when Harper found that a basket was below her feet. Somehow she lifted the basket up, unwrapped a delicious piece of chocolate and helped herself. She was also eating an egg when I finally glanced back and saw her face. Half of the shell was still on the egg, I am not sure if she peeled half the shell off or just ate it. I guess we'll find out when I change her next poopy diaper :)
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Such cute pictures, and SUCH cute kids. How in the world did you get such a great family picture with three kids, AND one of them being sick? We weren't able to get even one very good family photo on Easter - with just 2 healthy kids :)
You guys have the cutest family!! I love all of the pictures! (This is Stacie by the way)
