Tis the Season

Tonight we were at the store getting groceries and Tate pulled Tommy aside.  He had seen something at the store that he wanted to get Hudson for Christmas.  Yes, he wanted to buy it for her, as in, he took his measily $5 allowance that he gets each month and bought her some little play puppies for Christmas.  Because as Tate said "she will just be so excited to get these."  Then he decided he should get something for Harper as well and found her a little dolly, "because she likes to play mommy."  Is this kid for real?  It takes him months and months to save up for things that he wants to buy with his allowance and he is willing to just give that up for the love of his sisters.

Now I understand why we are constantly told become as little children.  Thanks for the lesson Tate, I hope to be just like you when I grow up.  You melt my heart.

That is the sweetest thing ever! We can really learn SO MUCH from kids. Thanks for the thought!

I'm feeling okay. Getting stiff from having to lay around all day and super bored! But I guess I should try and enjoy the rest and quiet house... ;-)
