The kids keep asking me when we can get a dog. I fianally told them that we could get a dog when daddy was working again. Tate filed that tidbit away.
Fast forward to the park this evening.
The kids were over petting some kids dog (they are obsessed with dogs)
Little kid: "So, do you have a dog?"
Tate: "No, my dad doesn't have any money. We can't get one until he starts working again."

What kind of a parent won't get their poor kids a dog-my dog would appreciate it if your kids had another dog outlet.
