Exploring the Water Canals

Sometimes adventure is right next door. We pass by a water canal every week when we walk to church. Our kids like at the moving water in it.

I kept thinking of when I was a kid, we would crawl through the sewer pipes (it was super confined and pitch black. It was crazy) around our streets. So I decided we should go explore these canals. I grabbed some helmets and headlamps and headed up the street.

I’m not sure if this is legal, but after jumping the chain link fence, we headed down the canal. There was so much foliage, it was like being a tropical forest.

We even caught some people in their backyard. They were quite surprised to see us. When we headed under the street, the kids were a little spooked. Harper kept screaming when she thought she heard things – which thoroughly freaked Tate out.
