It's Corona Time

This virus business is pretty crazy.  And is making us a little bit crazy as well.  It is has been a struggle for my teenagers to be stuck in a house together with no friend outlet.  I am however so incredibly grateful for the time that we have been able to spend together as a family.  There have been fights, tears and unkind words spoken but the ability for us to press pause on life and really lean into what being a family looks like has been really great.  The slow days have forced me to be the main educator of my children.  The slow days have caused us to look for things to do together as a family from playing board games, to charades to physical test of strength battles.  Tonight my teenagers were belting out showtunes.  It it was probably my favorite concert that I have been to.

We laugh together, cry together (maybe that's just me, ha) but mostly we are creating memories together.  So while this is a hard time and we are being stretched for sure it is also a time that we will not soon forget.  A few things that I don't want to forget are some of the kids antics during this quarantine.

Harper has decided to dig deep into her creative side with painting, cake decorating, drawing and makeup artistry.  The girl has some mad skills.

Tate has decided to take up baking and has made three different kinds of bread, he would really like to make more but since I am not a prepper and the stores now have zero stock of yeast, we are out of luck.

Reece has decided to push his boundaries of being the youngest and the most lovable by trying out several new levels of obnoxiousness. We finally set up tent to try and quarantine his craziness and give him something to do.  The poor kid is a social butterfly and is clearly missing school and his favorite friends.

The teenagers who like to think their mom can still keep teenager hours love to pile in my bed every night to chat with me.  I secretly love every second of it.

Hudson decided to color her hair pink and her brothers blue.

And the dude has made a come back in our house.  Today he was kicking back enjoying conference.

So while I long for the time when we can return to some level of normalcy in our life, I am going to cherish and hold on to these lovely days of family alone time.
