Halloween Festivities take one

One of the kids favorite halloween traditions is decorating cookies. I love watching how each one of them has their own technique for decorating. Tate just likes to get it done which translates to dump a ton of sprinkles on your cookie and call it good.

He has Bouwhuis genes in him after all - check out that tongue. Papa would be so proud.

Hey Tate I think you have a inch of cookie left that doesn't have sprinkles )

MMM the finsihed product. 100% sugar, mom are you sure this is ok? I am eating sugar on top of sugar with a side of sugar.

Then comes my sister Marlee, I mean my daughter Hudson (I get so confused sometimes with which is my daughter and which is my sister) meticulously frosting her cookie and then carefully arranging the sprinkles

And the finished product. Notice the beautiful star. We are equal opportunists at our house we couldn't just do the pumpkins and bats. We also had to do stars, hearts and gingerbread men. We wouldn't want the other shapes to feel left out.

Then thier is Harper, oh sweet baby Harper.

and then she just decided to forget about the cookie and just enjoy the tasty frosting.

And then doorbell rang. In the 5 seconds I walked to the door thanked the guy running for senate for his pamphlet and came back to the table; Harper decided to decorate the floor.
