#8 O Canada, or the garden of eden, or the stare/count

~ Since Tommy's parents' house (in Washington) is just a hop, skip and a ferry ride away from Victoria, British Columbia we decided to include it in our vacation plans. The ferry ride is about 2 hours long. A cute family, with two older children, had a death wish and sat in the booth right next to us. Everyone else was smart enough to avoid us like the plague. Well it turns out the family is Mormon and you guessed it - from Utah. It was fun to end up next to them and have them play and be really cute with our kids. Anyway, I digress. The point of the post is to give props to my neighbors the Canadians for there little pieces of heaven on earth that they call "parks." I kid you not the Canadians are not messing around when it comes to their parks. We spent the whole day at one of their parks and could easily have come back another day.

The best part was the petting farm that was located in the park. Who knew that brushing goats could be so much fun?

.
But I think my single most favorite part about Canada was the five thousands times I got told "wow you have your hands full" or "I bet you sure are busy." I mean really, it is just four kids for crying out loud. Tommy and I started referring to it as "the mormon stare" It generally would start with a look, then a visual counting of our kids, followed by a slight shudder. I always thought six or eight kids was a lot but apparently its four.
