Graham er Reece's Blessing

Reece's Blessing day turned out to be quite eventful.  Let's start with a little back history.  While I was pregnant, I fell in the love with the name Reece.  It just felt right and I really liked it a lot.  As with all of our childrens' names (with the exception of Gideon) Tommy was not completely on board.  When "Reece" was born, Tommy tried to convince me that we should try to come up with a "g" name.  Then we would have 2 h names, 2 g names, and 2 t names.  Which, I have to agree, would be fun.  Trying to find a g name that we both could agree on proved to be quite difficult.  Gilbert, Gray, and Gentry were a few of the options that were posed.  I didn't love any of them.  We sort of agreed on Graham since it worked and was a name that I didn't hate.  Forward to blessing day, which from this day forward will now be referred to as, "oh my gosh people really do change babies names during a blessing, I was really there".  Or the shortened title, "thanks Tommy for allowing us to be part of a LDS urban legend come true."   I am pretty sure there was an audible gasp that went through the congregation, then all eyes turned to me to see my reaction.  I was a bit stunned but happy that Reece was back to stay.  Thank goodness Bonnie wrote down the beautiful blessing that Tommy gave our sweet boy because I missed most of it after the name change.
