The roof rack is no more

This is my last post about cars, I swear.

With the new Telluride and the shifting of cars (I now drive the Acadia to work), we decided to get rid of the car rack.

We've had this thing forever. We originally got it when the Volvo was the main family car to store more stuff when we were traveling.

One of our crazier ideas was to take all our bikes on our trip to Whidbey Island. We drove all the way to washington with this tower of bikes on our car.

Inevitably, the kids gravitated toward this thing and get up there any chance they could get.

When we got the acadia, we moved it over and it was super helpful for our adventures.

It was a favorite spot for our annual drive-in tradition.

It made hauling messy stuff (like Christmas trees) much easier.

One thing we noticed was the rack was kind of our signature accessory that friends and neighbors used to recognize us.

Also, it's much harder to find our car in the parking lot now.
