Megan instructs the Bears right now. I don't think it's her favorite calling. She struggles to keep the boys in check. It usually devolves into crazy horse play and running around playing tag in the church.
Gideon is now in her group. I think Gideon really likes scouts. He's way into the achievements and stuff.
Gettings his totin' chip (I had to look up how to spell that) was a really big deal for him. And while we were at Yosemite, he bought a personalize knife. I'd like to think he treasured it but below is a picture from our neighbor who found it in his front yard a few months back.

I've come helped Megan with activities from time to time.
The other day, I helped the kids learn about pulleys with climbing rope. It was a hit, I think.

About a month ago, they did their raingutter regatta (I had to look this up as well). Megan wasn't available so I helped out. I brought the table and things to cut the foam with. The best thing ended up being kitchen knives.
It was a little unsettling, but we had a dozen boys gathered around a single table, all whacking at their foam with kitchen knives and, miraculously, no one got hurt. #freerangeparenting

Gideon loves this kind of stuff; mainly he just likes beating other people at things. His boat performed really well, so he was elated.

I'm glad we have programs like this.

Makai loves scouts so much too. We're kind of torn on whether or not to find another group once the church backs out in January. We're crossing our fingers they'll just have something just as awesome and we won't have to add one more thing into our schedules.
